F.E. Madill's Track and Field team Continues to Perform Well

Is that the smell of sweat mingled with the fragrant blossoms of spring? Madill's Track and Field team must be growing and flowering into a beautiful thing. The team has competed successfully in three meets so far. The first was against a large field at Regina Mundi in London, the second at St. Anne's in Clinton and most recently the team had a strong showing in Petrolia competing against a field of over 800 athletes.

Our premiere distance runners, Emily Youngblut and Ben Procter, both achieved personal bests in the 1500 and 3000m races respectively. Justine Beasley, an enthusiastic member of our Junior Girls team, achieved personal bests in both high jump and long jump, claiming third spot in the Junior Girls long jump competition overall. Also, there is a buzz around the team about the Midget boys relay crew. In three meets the boys have blown away the competition placing first everytime. Our next meet is Thursday ay 8th at St. Anne's in Clinton, and looming in the not so distant future is Huron-Perth.

Members of the cast react to" Murmel".

The guild members perform two shows a day to bus loads of eager students from Madill's feeder schools.

Mud Puddle

"Jule Ann" gets cleaned up after meeting up with the "Mud Puddle".

A cast and crew of about 20 students has been working hard with Mr. McGregor for the past two months to bring entertaining childhood favourites such as "Moritmer", "Millicent and the Wind" and "Mud Puddle" to the stage.

Mortimer

Mortimer is told to clean up and be quiet!
