Madill Students Help Make Our Community Green!
Grade 9 students work to plant trees in Wingham.
On Wednesday, June 13, Mr. Walker's and Mrs. Jackson's period 3 Geography classes, assisted with planting shrubs along the Wingham Trail. Under the guidance of Phil Beard of the MVCA, the students did some excellent community service, enriching the ecological variety along our own Wingham Trail. If you check by the new arch on the main street of Wingham, you'll see some of our handy work.
Tree planters search out some shade during a break.
It was hard work and very hot, so to cool down after a few hours of planting shrubs and trees in the hot sun, the classes headed to the Wingham splash pad to cool down. As you can see, fun was had by all and it was very refreshing.
Thanks to the students for some excellent community service and a FUN "day in the park".
The sprinkler pad is a great way to beat the heat after a hot afternoon of tree planting.
