Senior Boys Rugby Win Huron Perth

Senior boys rugby team gets a little enthusiastic about the game- click the image above to see a short clip of their cheer, (you must have Quicktime installed)!

The Madill senior boys rugby team won Huron-Perth yesterday and will now advance on to WOSSAA! The boys played Stratford Northwestern in the first game. The team got off to a very slow start but after the first 5 minutes the team started to come to life transitioning very well from defense to offense and took control. The final score was 33-0 for Madill.

In the finals Madill faced St Annes Eagles, who finished second in league play. It was a very evenly played match in the first half, with a score of 7-0 at the half. The Mustangs again turned it up a notch in the second half and came away with a win by a score of 22-0. WOSSAA is next Tuesday hosted by Madill. Competing teams are Madill and St Annes from Huron Perth; Woodstock Collegiate and Huron Park from TVRAA.
