The 2007 Cash Prize Calendars are Coming

'07 Calendar Cover

The cash prize calendar fundraising event is about to start and this year there is the potential to raise $35,000 for teams, clubs and classrooms. The calendars themselves will be available early next week and are selling for $25.

This is our opportunity to get funds where they are needed most and our goal is for each student to sell just two calendars.

There are cash prizes drawn every school day for those that buy a calendar- there are great incentives each time you sell a calendar- and the school raises money- So what are you waiting for Madill ... let the selling frenzy begin!!!

Junior Girls' Basketball Goes Into Overtime!

Game Plan

The junior girls' team take a moment to discuss a game plan.

The Junior Girls' Basketball team hosted the Listowel Lightning in the consolation semi-finals. The Mustangs had a tough time getting their shots to fall, but maintained a good defensive effort throughout. The team entered the fourth quarter down by 8 points, but the girls refused to give up. They clawed their way back to tie the game in the final minute, sending the game into overtime. In overtime, the shooting troubles continued, and Listowel pulled ahead for good. The final score was 43 - 37. Mr. Hanley would like to the thank the girls for a very exciting season

Congratulations go out to our junior girls for a great game.

Blocking

Madill fights hard to take the game into overtime.

Senior Girls' Basketball Dominate the Floor

Blur of Motion

The senior girls' team is a blur of energy as they race down the court.

The senior girls' basketball team played an impressive game against the Listowel team defeating them 46 to 28 in the Huron-Perth semi-final game. Our team now advances on to the finals which will be played here at Madill this Friday against the winners of the Goderich - Northwestern match up.

Inspiration

Players get words of inspiration from their coach before the game.

Top scorers for the Madill girls' include Rachelle Kranenburg with 18 points, Alicia Murray and Kayla Bishop with 7 points each and Anna Nicholson with 6 points. Plan on attending the game on Friday to cheer on our girls' team as they compete in the final game of the season!

Waiting

Players await their turn on the floor.
