Learning Goals
1. Aspects of the large watercolour will make use of techniques for form and colour
2. The Creative Process will be used to develop interesting ideas and compositions
Success Criteria
1. Form and Colour Techniques
• Lift out technique will be used for high lights
• Layers of flat and graded washes will be used to create shadows
• Variegated washes will be used for blended colours
2. The Creative Process
• Sketchbook will have a "brainstorming" list of ideas for painting
• Sketchbook will gather resources for ideas
• Sketchbook will test out visual compositions for ideas
• Sketchbook will develop a finished sketch for the painting
• Sketchbook will contain a written reflection of areas of success and
areas of difficulty with idea
